West Texas Connection

Here is a video mac made while his crew made a connection. It’s a little different than some of the older rigs, they don’t even have a chain on the rig, i’m thinking they have what is called an Iron roughneck.

Jaime, Mac’s driller videoed this while Mac was behind the controls. The guys didn’t like this video as much as Mac’s but I do.. it’s like you are actually there.

Serenaded

Last weekend I got to go to Ft. Worth for my sister Shanna’s bachelorette party. Here is a video of Shanna being serenaded by all the guys at Joe’s Crab Shack.

A Newborn’s Conversation with God

A  baby asked God, ‘They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow, but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?’ God said, ‘Your angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you.’

The child further inquired, ‘But tell me, here in heaven I don’t have to do anything but sing and smile to be happy.’ God said, ‘Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you. And you will feel your angel’s love and be very happy.’

Again the child asked, ‘And how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me if I don’t know the language?’ God said, ‘Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak.’
‘And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?’ God said, ‘Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray.’

‘Who will protect me?’ God said, ‘Your angel will defend you even if it means risking its life.’

‘But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore.’ God said, ‘Your angel will always talk to you about Me and will teach you the way to come back to Me, even though I will always be next to you.’

At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices from Earth could be heard and the child hurriedly asked, ‘God, if I am to leave now, please tell me my angel’s name.’

God said, ‘You will simply call her, ‘Mom.’

Big Spring Gas Plant Explosion

Julie got these pictures from an email. As you can tell, there is alot of damage and as expected gas prices have shot up. Before the explosion we were in between 2.95 and 2.99. This morning when i was dropping Shaye off at school, I noticed gas prices were up to $3.19 and they are supposed to be going higher.

Walk America is now March for Babies

Mac, Dani, Shaye and I are once again walking for the March of Dimes on April 19th at UTPB. The March of Dimes support Odessa Regional Hospital where Shaye was born and is one of the major reasons she is alive and with us today. Everyday in that hospital I saw all the equipment that wouldn`t have been there if the March of Dimes wasn`t there. And I decided then, if there was anything I can do to help other babies, I would do it. I have a personal goal to raise $500 and a team goal for $1000 and we are currently looking for sponsors.

The money we raise helps save premature and sick babies. this is what the Gas plant looks like after it exploded.. There is a lot more damage but I was driving and couldn’t get a really good picture
